The Only Part of the Grammys That Mattered

You know how when you watch sci-fi movies and you laugh “ha ha who would dress like that? No one could pull it off.” I present, Lady Gaga, ladies and gentlemen:

Is it just me or is she doing a steampunkish retro-futurism thing, but with Flash Gordon and art deco meet Bauhaus and couture? And yes, those are cantilever heels. Did she just watch this video, grab Armani and say, “Do that, but more ridiculous, right now.”

Tron Leggings

I’m not a huge fan of leggings in general, but I’m so glad someone finally figured out that the appropriate pattern can make them a bit more flattering. A big part of fashion is complementing the natural lines of the body so they look even better. Gold spandex rarely has that quality. These . . . these just might work.

If these things open the door to more 80’s futuristic influence on style (or maybe some 50’s n 60’s Flash Gordon stuff) I’d be all for it. Or just give them to M.I.A. and Lady Gaga and see what they come up with.
